How Prediction Market Prices Form

A prediction market contract pays $1 if the outcome happens and $0 if it doesn't, so its price — set by whatever the order book's best bid and ask currently are — is also the market's implied probability of that outcome. New information moves the price the same way it would move any order-driven market: someone trades on it, the book shifts, the price updates.
